Ghent-based tech scale-up Trendtracker has successfully closed a $7 million Series A funding round. The investment was led by European venture capital firm Armilar, with significant participation from existing investor Capricorn Partners. This capital infusion is earmarked to support the further development of Trendtracker’s autonomous AI strategy and foresight platform, aiming to help organizations streamline strategic research, planning, and decision-making amidst surging demand for AI tools that improve how businesses anticipate change.

About The Company

Founded in 2019, Trendtracker provides an advanced AI-powered strategic and foresight intelligence platform used by global enterprises, governments, and consulting firms. The platform’s core mission is to help these organizations monitor their external environment, identify emerging trends, and support the development of forward-looking strategies.

In an environment of constant change and increasing data volume, traditional strategy cycles are becoming less effective. Trendtracker addresses this critical need with an always-on, AI-powered platform that continuously monitors global signals, interprets them in context, and connects developments to their potential strategic impact across political, economic, social, technological, legal, and environmental (PESTLE) domains. The platform is trusted by large, demanding organizations, including Siemens, PepsiCo, P&G, PwC, Arthur D. Little, and Ageas.

Funding Details

The $7 million Series A round underscores strong investor confidence in Trendtracker’s deep-tech solution and proven traction with blue-chip clients. The new capital provides the necessary resources to expand the platform’s proprietary AI capabilities and accelerate its geographical footprint.

The round was led by Armilar, a firm known for backing high-growth, technology-intensive companies. Capricorn Partners, a returning investor, reaffirmed its commitment to Trendtracker’s vision and execution.

The company’s technology is built on a predictive architecture and a coordinated system of AI agents that continuously detect, score, forecast, and interpret emerging trends. This provides leaders with deterministic, explainable, and transparent strategic intelligence on a 24/7 basis.

According to Vincent Defour, CEO of Trendtracker, the company aims to reshape how teams working in strategy, risk, insights, innovation, and foresight operate: “Our technology functions as a strategic sparring partner, enhancing leadership judgment without supplanting it. The AI doesn’t just look at the past, but actively models strategic recommendations, predicting the future for businesses.”

Market Opportunity

The demand for reliable, predictive strategic intelligence is rapidly outpacing traditional research methods. Organizations are urgently seeking tools that integrate advanced foresight expertise with scalable AI to manage risk and identify opportunities. Trendtracker positions itself as an autonomous AI strategy and foresight partner, helping organizations detect change earlier, understand its implications more deeply, and make informed decisions about their future direction. By combining advanced AI with foresight expertise, Trendtracker stands ready to capitalize on the massive, global market need for enhanced organizational agility and strategic decision-making support.

Use of Funds

With a global customer base already established, the new capital will be used to accelerate three key strategic areas. First, Trendtracker plans to further develop its AI Analyst architecture, enhancing its multi-agent systems to automatically map organizational environments, analyze key sources of uncertainty, generate scenario-based forecasts, and recommend prescriptive strategic actions with clear rationale. Second, the company will accelerate its expansion in the US and the Middle East, supported by new strategic partnerships and a stronger local presence. Finally, Trendtracker intends to scale its hybrid team with senior talent in AI, foresight, engineering, and commercial leadership while deepening its alliances with consulting firms and enterprise partners.
